We understand that Eclipsys had previously notified you that the MediNotes product would not be supported after December 2011. After surveying a number of MediNotes clients, we have decided to change our approach for the better.
Concern #1: Is Allscripts cutting off support for Medinotes?
No. Allscripts understands the importance of this solution to your practice. Effective immediately, we are extending support for MediNotes for the foreseeable future.
Concern #2: Can Allscripts help my practice obtain the stimulus dollars?
Yes. We have now created a special MediNotes Upgrade Program. This program will provide you with an upgrade to another EHR from Allscripts with special pricing. This Allscripts EHR will meet the applicable ARRA certification requirements for EHR and can be used by you to demonstrate Stage 1 Meaningful Use and claim your 2011 stimulus incentives.

MediNotes Upgrade Details
In developing this MediNotes Upgrade Program, it was important to understand your financial and technology needs. Therefore, we recently invited you to complete an on-line survey to gain insight into the challenges you face today. Thank you for your response.
The survey showed that more than 75% of you were looking for a Stimulus-ready EHR solution that will enable you to qualify for federal incentives, and that you viewed this as a pressing and critical business issue. You told us that you want a solution that is easy-to-use, adapts to the way physician’s practice medicine, and provides clinically relevant items for faster documentation.
We’re listening. The Allscripts EHR solution that best meets these needs is Allscripts MyWay – the integrated electronic health record, practice management and claims management solution that has been designed to meet the needs of smaller practices.
- Meeting the Certification Standards: Allscripts provides its clients with a guarantee that the Allscripts MyWay product will meet the applicable ARRA certification requirements for EHR. Allscripts is willing to extend this same guarantee to MediNotes customers upon request.
- Interfacing with your current Practice Management System: If you are happy with your current PM system, MyWay will simply interface to that system.
- Converting your data from your current system: You will receive free demographic and clinical conversions. Rest assured, we will take care to convert and preserve your data. The data conversion process will include basic patient demographic data, chart notes, images and items found in MediNotes MultiMedia, referral and patient letters, prescriptions and patient instructions.
